SCUBA 26
1993 Chevy/Utilimaster Mobile Classroom
Ex- Bergen County Special Services School District
On June 23rd, 2005 the Oradell Fire Department accepted a donation of a 1993 Chevy/Utilimaster Mobile Classroom from The Bergen County Special Services School District.
This vehicle was converted for use as the department's SCUBA truck which carries personnel and equipment to the scene when requested. All work was completed by the OFD members with existing funds and those that have been donated for the cause.

Our Progress
- 3/8/06 - Truck goes on 1st Call to Rutherford
- 3/3/06 - Cabinetry, Bench, and Radio Work Completed
- 2/25/06 - Vinyl Lettering to be Completed.
- 2/20/06 - Hell Week: 110v Electrical Work, Walls, Shelving & Lighting
- 1/29/06 - Insulation Work began on the body of the truck
- 1/23/06 - Emergency Lighting and Radio equipment was installed by OFD members and Boro Public Works Employees
- 1/9/06 - Truck has been painted and body has been repaired. To be Delivered to OFD on 1/13/06
- 12/1/05 - Goes to Jersey City for body work and paint
- 11/26/05 - Appears in Wallington Holiday Parade
- 8/26/05 - Mocking up the inside for racks and estimates for body and paint are in progress.
- 7/21/05 - Replaced Radiator, Changed Oil, & completed preventative maintenance.
- 6/28/05 - The entire van has been gutted, wall to wall, floor to ceiling. New flooring, walls, ceiling, and new electric will be run.
