    Fire Headquarters

The Oradell Fire Department started out in a building at 298 Kinderkamack Rd. which is now the Bergen County Players.  A new 3 bay building was built around 1948 at 335 Kinderkamack Rd. on the corner of Center St.  The building was then expanded with a fourth bay in 1974, the fourth bay was designed for the ladder truck.  In 2003 a project was started to lower all the floors in the firehouse and widen the columns on the original 3 bays to accommodate the larger, new apparatus.   The OFD was moved into a temporary firehouse in our rear parking lot.  The "Circus Tent" as it was known, wasn't the nicest looking but it spared the equipment.  This project took a little longer then was expected but was worth the wait.
