    Fire Prevention

The Fire Prevention Committee of the Oradell Fire Department is committed to the education of the residents of Oradell, and others whom the Committee may encounter, while presenting programs in the areas of fire safety and fire prevention. Through education, the ultimate goal of the Committee is to reduce fire and burn related injuries, fire deaths and property loss to an acceptable level: ZERO!

What is fire ? Fire is faster, hotter, darker, and smokier than you can imagine. You must know what fire is like in order to safely prepare to escape its danger...

Many people think that a fire will never happen to them, only to the other person.  In order to prevent a fire or injury you must first  realize that these events can happen to you.   Only then can you plan to prevent fire and injuries.  Safety is a mindset that has to be developed and practiced.  Only the proper attitude can stop fires before they start.
