    SCUBA & Water Rescue

The Oradell Fire Department maintains two boats that are used in conjunction with a fully equipped SCUBA and Water Rescue Unit.  Every member of the department works with the divers in some capacity.  Each diver has completed the PADI or NAUI Open Water I Course and is also trained and equipped for swift water rescue.  The SCUBA Unit also works with Bergen County Police, Wallington FD, Lyndhurst FD, Mahwah FD and Oakland FD.  These departments work together as the North Jersey Association of Water Specialists and often respond as a single task force to water emergencies anywhere in the county or state. The unit frequently conducts drills on the Oradell Reservoir and Oradell Swim Club.

The SCUBA and Water Rescue Unit utilizes all members of the department when required and currently has a roster of 11 certified divers:

    • G. Rassam #6
    • J. Lomoriello #11
    • T. Fahey #13
    • D. Schneider #22
    • D. Gangemi #24
