Oradell: Working Structure Fire (2/14/05)

13:15 hrs: The Oradell Police Department receives an automatic fire alarm for an address on Phyllis Lane in Oradell. Police and fire units were dispatched to this address. Upon arrival of the police, they found smoke showing from the structure. The first fire department unit on scene was Car 201, which was staffed by Captain Kahill. Upon initial size up, it was determined that the fire had extended from its origin in the garage to the attic and further resources were going to be required. The bulk of the fire was knocked down by 13:56hrs and units picked up from scene at 16:48hrs.

The New Milford Fire Department, River Edge Fire Department, Paramus Fire Department, Dumont Fire Department, & Emerson Fire Department provided mutual aid assistance on-scene and at Oradell Fire Headquarters as stand-by units. Although there were no injuries, New Milford Ambulance and Washington Township Ambulance were dispatched to the scene as a precautionary measure. EMS Command was run by New Milford Ambulance.
