Tonight during the monthly meeting Oradell FD Members were alerted for a car fire on O’Connell Place. Units turned out quickly with Chief 20, Chief 201 arriving and confirming a well involved SUV. Squad 22, Engine 23 and Engine 24 all arrived about the same time. Squad 22 and Engine 23 each stretched one hose line each and operated for about 30 minutes with members for Engine 24. On Saturday morning, the fire department responded to a reported smoke condition on the 2nd floor of a building in the 200 block of Kinderkamack Road. The Lieutenant from Engine 23 quickly reported that contractors on scene had ruptured a freon pipe on an air conditioner unit which created a vapor cloud in the hallway. The unit was secured and the building was vented with fresh air. Members took some time to cool down before returning to quarters.
At 09:48 AM, the Oradell Fire Department was dispatched to the 600 block of Fletcher Avenue in Oradell for a structure fire. At 09:50 AM, Car 203 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire. Engine 24 arriving shortly after, established a water supply, began extinguishing a fire in the garage area and checked for occupants in the house. Tower 21 and Squad 22 performed other primary and secondary searches in the structure. Engine 23 and mutual aid departments performed other support services on scene. Car 201 arrived on-scene shortly into the duration of the incident and assumed command.

At around 2:35pm today Oradell and New Milford Fire units were dispatched into the 800 block of Bogert Road in River Edge for a confirmed House Fire. Oradell Chief 20 and Engine 24 responded quickly, with Engine 24 assuming the first due Engine assignment. Eventually additional units from Oradell responded including Engine 23, Squad 22 and Utility 25 with Chief 201. Units operated for well over two hours before bringing the fire under control.

On Friday evening around 11pm, the Oradell Fire Department along with Paramus Engine 1 and Rescue 7 were dispatched to the intersection of Oradell Ave. and Forest Ave. for a two car motor vehicle crash with a person trapped inside a vehicle. Oradell Squad 22 and Engine 23 arrived on scene and removed the door from one vehicle so that the driver could be remove safely by fire and EMS personnel. Three dogs were also safely removed by the fire department.
