This Sunday, members of the fire department will be making a final push on our 2019 fund raising season by walking door-to-door starting around 10:30am. There is still opportunity to donate. Donations can be picked-up, mailed-in, or made online.
Thanks as always to the residents of Oradell for your continued support!
After 100 years of American LaFrance fire apparatus in Oradell, a new 2019 Pierce Enforcer Pumper backed into fire headquarters tonight.
Many thanks to the Department’s Leadership, Apparatus Committee, Fire Commissioner & Council President Tracy Schoenberg, Mayor Didio, & the other members of the council for their continued support.
The Officers and Members of the Oradell Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the residents of Oradell for their support in the past and ask for your continued support this year, as our 2019 Fund Raising starts this week, as our flyer arrives in your mailboxes.
100% of donations, support the operations of your volunteer fire department.
Our department depends on the residents of this town just as much as the residents depend on us. Your tax deductible contribution will help offset the many costs of our daily operations which are not completely covered by the municipal budget. No donation is too small and we are grateful for any help you can provide. We cannot do this alone, we need your help.
Questions about the Fund Drive can also be answered by sending a message via our website or by calling 201-261-5455.
Again, The Officers and Members thank you for your continued support.
On Wednesday evening, Chief 20 and Engine 23 were requested to respond to Elmwood Park, to cover their Company 4 firehouse while they were heavily engaged with firefighting operations at the Marcal Paper Plant. Shortly after arriving on-scene, Oradell was redirected to the scene with the River Edge Fire Department, to help establish a new water supply, drafting water from the Passaic River. Oradell worked with fire departments from River Edge, East Newark, Paramus, and Fort Lee, to get water to a Wayne Tower Ladder for fire suppression nearly 4000′ away.
Drafting and relay pumping is not the easiest nor the most glamorous task on the firegound on a 4 degree night, but water supply is one of the most critical tasks to be completed at any large fire.
Last weekend, new Chief’s and Officers were sworn in at fire headquarters by Mayor Dianne Didio.
