Tri-Boro Alarm

This morning Tri-boro units (Oradell, River Edge and New Milford) were alerted for an activated Fire Alarm at The Woodcrest Center in New Milford.  Oradell Tower 21 arrived first due with River Edge Ladder 11 and New Milford Engine 32 behind them.  Companies determined the alarm was set off by workers in the basement.

Working Fire – Garden Apartments in River Edge

Chief 20, Captain 202, Tower 21, and Engine 23 responded this morning as part of the working fire assignment to the 100 block of Kinderkamack Road in River Edge.  The River Edge Fire Department, who was first on the scene, was able to extinguish the fire quickly while firefighters from Oradell’s Tower 21 helped ventilate the structure and open up walls to check for any fire spread.

April Training

Each month the department comes together for small group training to learn new skills and refine old ones.  Currently the department is working on a three month rotation to train on search & rescue, vehicle extrication, and tower ladder operations.

Mutual Aid Gas Leak

Tower 21 and Car 20 responded last Saturday night to the 100 block of Bogert Road in River Edge for a reported natural gas leak in the roadway.  As the first due truck company, members helped check gas levels in the near by storm drains and surrounding buildings.

FDIC 2015

Oradell Firefighters are proud to be among the thousands of firefighters attending training this week at the FDIC Conference in Indianapolis.  On going firefighter training is essential to keep current with the latest trends and evolving threats.
